Digital Rights and Responsibilities
Rights and Responsibilities:
When you create an online presence for yourself you have to always keep in mind that you are now responsible for that online persona that you have just created. As a person you have to ask yourself, "What do I want to be known for the rest of my life?" An online presence does not go away. It is never deleted. It is forever. Data can be recovered and resubmitted over multiple different platforms for as long as the human race exists. When you post something either about yourself or someone else ask your self "Do I or this person want this message about us for the rest of our lives?"
DO NOT USE TECHNOLOGY TO CHEAT ON TESTS....UH DUH!

Following acceptable use policies and using technology responsibly both inside and outside school rather than violating the policy
Your school has safeguards in its computer usage to protect you, others, and itself. Your school's acceptable use policy is there to teach you how to be a proper person online keeping you out of risk taking situations. Reading it is essential.

Give credit where credit is due
When using other content creators work, make sure you can in fact do so. Use online materials in a ethical way which include citing sources and requesting permissions rather than assuming it is all good, and no one is owed credit.

- Reporting cyber bullies, threat, and other inappropriate use.
You are no snitch for reporting online behaviors that hurt others. You are in fact a savior. You are saving the offender from possibly offending again and you are helping the victim to make their pain stop.
